We love revisiting artists that have exhibited at an Affordable Art Fair and gone on to experience success. Here's our Founder and CEO, Will Ramsay's picks...
In 1999, our Founder and CEO, Will Ramsay established the first Affordable Art Fair in London’s Battersea Park. Since then, fairs now take place in 11 cities around the world. By placing living artists and independent galleries at our heart, Affordable Art Fair has helped support the careers of over 40,000 living artists.
We caught up with Will in London to grill him on some of his favourite artist success stories…
Andrew’s work first appeared in our Recent Graduates exhibition at Affordable Art Fair Battersea in 2009. Fast-forward to today and his works have been collected extensively in private and public collections worldwide and he’s regarded as one of the UK’s leading figurative painters.
We were fortunate to come across South African born, Joseph Klibansky early in his career, when his work was exhibited at our Amsterdam and Brussels fairs in 2009. We were thrilled to welcome Joseph back to our Amsterdam fair in 2019 with his monumental sculpture ‘Leap of Faith’ and a series of limited editions.
Amanda was one of our Recent Graduates at Affordable Art Fair Battersea in 2022. Since the fair, she found representation with a gallery and was offered a studio in Glasgow. Her work was very popular with buyers – including Will – and we’re looking forward to seeing what she does next!
Big thanks to Will for sitting down with us and giving us the lowdown!
