Meet Rose Blake, a talented British illustrator and artist who is celebrated for her vibrant and playful style. 🎨🌹
"I have always found it easier to express a thought through a picture rather than words."
Choosing vast museum-scapes as her chosen subject, Blake captures the busy hum of a gallery concourse. Each digitally-designed character contributes to the rich narrative the scene develops, all with their own lives and personalities.
Commissioned by The New Yorker, The New York Times, The Sunday Times Magazine, and The Guardian, her work reaches a wide and appreciative audience. 🎇

Nathanael Kang is a Hong Kong-based artist who works primarily in ink and watercolor on paper. His art cultivates a sense of childlike wonder and finds beauty in everyday scenes. As an architect, Kang is inspired by the urban environment, often focusing on overlooked buildings and spaces in a constantly changing city. 🖋️
He is also a member of the Hong Kong Arts Collective and has exhibited with the group multiple times. Kang has completed commissions for Hyatt Centric Hotel Hong Kong and held a solo exhibition there in 2023.

Every Frame a Story 🖼️
Denton Yan Chen was born in London and has spent almost half his life in Hong Kong. With a background in game design and coffee QA testing, Chen is inspired by the desire to capture moments of the world around him, with his film photography exploring themes of identity, family, and belonging in Hong Kong📸As a movie lover, he is known for his unique approach to shooting films while riding his bike hands-free. His works are characterized by minimal editing and are influenced by the hybrid culture of Hong Kong, as well as the visual styles of photographers like Fan Ho, Harry Gruyaert, and Robert Frank. Through his lens, Chen reflects on the relevance and evolution of Hong Kong`s identity in the modern world.🎞

Melony Kara Smirniotis is the director of Gallery 11:11 in North Epping, Sydney, Australia. As both Gallery director and Artist, connecting her audience to an authentic story is her focus. For the past two decades, her subject matter has fallen into three series; ocean, earth and sky. Establishing a deep connection to nature from a young child, Melony aspires to create work that evokes emotion, with the aim of bringing the joy that she finds in nature into people’s homes. 🌤️🌊🌏

Alison Percy is an Australian painter based close to the Murray River. Her paintings explore the land, the figure and the flower. Referencing traditional Japanese calligraphy, her expressions are clean but lyrical and gives notion to a previous career in illustration. Her work is full of movement and rhythm, juxtaposing vibrant and muted tones. 🏞️💐
Self-taught as an artist, but with a degree in plant biology, Joe Blundell is drawn to depictions of nature in his art. Inspired by pure landscape, and the interplay between nature and the man-made, his works are often intimate, depicting nature’s entanglements and the fight for survival. 🌇🚶🏻
Alison and Joe’s paintings will be available on the Greenbridge Gallery stand at Affordable Art Fair Melbourne from 29 August – 1 September.

Introducing Martine Vanderspuy, the art director and principal behind Martine Gallery in Sydney, Australia.
As one of the gallery`s artists, Vanderspuy has experimented with many mediums. Resin, however, has become her favorite and principal medium of experimentation and creativity. Using many layers, the resin creates vibrancy, color, clarity, shadows, and the glint of light on water.
"The tactile nature and depth of the resin almost allows you to dive into the artwork." Vanderspuy aims to create artworks that lift people`s spirits by viewing the ever-changing ocean.
