Fair overview

Our spring edition of Affordable Art Fair Battersea takes place in March, with a fantastic selection of contemporary galleries from across the UK and around the world bringing thousands of affordable artworks to suit every budget. There is something for every art lover – from original artworks for your freshly renovated living room, or a piece to provide daily inspiration for your workstation.

FAQs

  • That depends on your what kind of fair experience you’re after! If you’d prefer to enjoy the fair without the crowds, head to our weekday afternoons (Thursday and Friday), as this is the quietest time. Our Art After Dark events are a great time to visit if you enjoy a bit of a buzz, and the chance to take in great art with friends, live DJs, welcome drinks and more! Weekends are popular with visitors, and so can be quite busy. If visiting on the weekend, make sure to give yourself enough time to see everything, as it can take a bit longer.

  • We encourage all our visitors to use sustainable methods of transportation.

    By foot / bike

    We recommend entering Battersea Park from the Chelsea Bridge Gate and following the pink signs. There is bike parking near the venue.

    By tube

    The closest tube stations are Battersea Power Station (Northern Line) and Sloane Square (Circle and District Lines). A free shuttle bus runs from Sloane Square Underground Station between the following times:

    • Wednesday, 4.30pm – 9.30pm
    • Thursday, 10.30am – 9.30pm
    • Friday, 10.30am – 9.30pm
    • Saturday, 9.30am – 6.30pm
    • Sunday, 9.30am – 6.30pm

    By bus

    • Bus numbers 44, 137, 156, 344 and 452 stop on the east side of Battersea Park.
    • Bus numbers 49, 319 and 345 stop on the west or south side of the park (15 minute walk to the fair).

    By train

    From Victoria or Clapham Junction to Battersea Park station (10 minute walk through the park), and from Waterloo or Richmond to Queenstown Road station (15 minute walk).

    By car

    If you’re planning on driving to the fair, please be aware that parking is limited in front of the venue, which is accessed via Chelsea Bridge. There are four Pay & Display car parks within Battersea Park.

  • Yes, Evolution London is fully accessible for people with reduced mobility. If you need to reserve a wheelchair please contact us at [email protected].

  • Yes, well-behaved dogs on leads are very welcome! However, please note weekends can be particularly busy and some dogs may find the environment stressful. Please be mindful of other visitors and of course, our lovely artworks!

  • Yes, we have a cloakroom service to store your belongings before exploring the fair.
    The price is £2 per item. Pushchairs are free. While we try our utmost to ensure their safekeeping, personal possessions are left at the owner’s risk.

  • You can book an interactive digital map online with your ticket for £3, or when you arrive at the fair. The map features exclusive audio stories from select artists, giving you approximately 30-45 minutes of content to enjoy at your own pace. The clips will rearrange depending on your location in the fair, helping you navigate and discover new favourites as you explore.

    Scan the QR code on your instruction card with your phone and the guide will load instantly. There’s an alphanumeric code if you’re unable to scan QR codes. Please bring your own headphones – although we will have some available to buy at the info desk.
