Purchased your tickets to Affordable Art Fair Singapore but not sure where to start? We’ve got your covered. No matter whether you have an hour or a whole day, the whole family or yourself, here are a list of suggested activities to help you get the most out of your visit.

Find routes to explore the fair for the one-hour soloist, the three-hour homeowners new to art, and the full-day family!

For the One-Hour Soloist

If you’re pushed for time, follow our one-hour itinerary:

Before you arrive, make sure you browse our exhibiting gallery list, selecting your not-to-be-missed galleries. Plus, don’t forget to buy your tickets online in advance to skip any precious time waiting the queue!

1. On arrival, pick up a copy of the fair guide and use the handy map to find your favourite galleries. Are they based in Singapore or flying internationally? Are you a fan of acrylics, photography or sculptures?

2. Enroute, swing by our Group Therapy café to grab a nice cup of coffee to kickstart your journey.

3. Looking for something a little out of the ordinary? Visit Singapore Sculpture Society, Level 3, Room E, Creative Hub and enjoy live demonstrations of woodcarving in progress. Or, check out their sculpture exhibition of master sculptures in Singapore.

3. Visit your selected galleries and speak to gallerists about the works on display. Questions to get your started might be: “Could you tell me more about this artist?”, “How would you hang this piece?”

4. Shopping on a budget? Look out for the pink ‘UNDER $1K’ stickers next to artworks!

5. Having made your selection, visit the fair’s wrapping desk to have your new art piece wrapped up safely free-of-charge.

6. Enjoy the artwork at your home, workplace, or your personal sanctuary!

For Homeowners New to Art

Have half a day? Follow our three-hour itinerary:

To make sure you maximise your time, don’t forget to check-out our What’s On page before your visit to learn more about our activities and workshops, plus purchase a ticket online in advance to skip the queue.

1. On arrival, pick up a copy of the fair guide and mark your favourite galleries, then head up to Level 3 and hit the aisles!

2. Swing by the Art Galleries Association Singapore’s stand on Level 3, Room C, Creative Hub to get an impressive preview of art by gallery members of the association.

3. We have 3 Special Projects placed across the fair, spot them if you can! Engage with our Special Projects created by Victor Tan (with Beautifully Made), Zoya Chaudhary (with Olive Gallery), and Jackie Case (with RHG). Take a sneak peak of their works via our What’s On page.

4. Need a quick break? Stop by Group Therapy café to refuel with a tasty croissant and a cup of specialty coffee.

5. Once you’re refreshed, move down to Level 2 to browse even more art. Don’t forget to take pictures of your favourites as you go!

6. Want to get your hands on being an artist? Take part in creative workshops such as pair sketching or palette knife workshops run by Visual Arts Centre at Level 3, Room E, Creative Hub.

7. All this walking and art-browsing is hard work! If time permits, visit our Gastropark for a delicious lunch or dinner. The perfect moment to sit and consider before sealing the deal with a gallery.

8. Pay for and have your newly purchased artwork wrapped for free at the DSV Solutions Wrapping Desk, then before heading home, grab a selfie next to our entrance for your socials!

For Full-day Families

If you’re lucky enough to have a whole arty day out, follow our five-hour itinerary:

Our Fair is open from 11am till late at night! In addition to our 81 galleries. be prepared to enjoy a full range of workshops, activities, and special exhibitions, curated for all tastes and styles.

1. Get yourself into one of our complimentary or paid workshops organized by Visual Arts Centre at Level 3, Room E, Creative Hub! From mini bag design to urban sketching, they sure have something for everyone. Register for your slot, workshops are available throughout the whole day.

2. Don’t forget you can drop off the your little Picassos at the Children’s Art Studio on Level 3, Room E, Creative Hub for the day! Get them immersed in art with a fluorescent puppet workshop for free, or a shadow puppet mini theatre at just $15 per person, all provided by Art Wonderland.

3. Looking for Special Exhibitions on top of our gallery booths? Check out ART:DIS special exhibition with artists with disabilities, featuring 2 emerging young artists and 5 established artists!

4. Or, why not create your own alcohol ink coaster or mug at Singapore Cancer Society?

5. Feeling snacky ? Pop by The Cheese Deli or DAMNmeats for a hearty meal (Level 3, Room E, Gastropark), or a nice pick-me-up ice cream at the Häagen-dazs booth

6. Visit our Affordable Art Fair team curated #SPOTLIGHT exhibition, located in Level 3, Room E, Creative Hub. This year, we are highlighting 16 works from new and emerging artists from all around the world with the theme of RGB – Red Green Blue.

7. After a full day at the fair, we’re sure you won’t have been able to resist taking an artwork home, so don’t forget to stop by and snap a picture just outside F1 Pit Building! Tag us on our socials to let us know your best buy.
