Affordable Art Fair Shanghai takes place at Shanghai Exhibition Centre from 8 – 11 June, showcasing 47 galleries from home and abroad, seven special art projects and several exclusive partners.
Over the past 24 years, Affordable Art Fair has been held in 10 cities around the world and this June, Affordable Art Fair will be held in China for the first time.
Affordable Art Fair Shanghai will showcase over 350 artists and thousands of artworks, offering visitors a wide selection of collectible art ranging from 1,000 to 100,000 RMB. With on-site themed lectures, guided tours, and one-on-one art consultations by appointment, the first Affordable Art Fair Shanghai will focus on art education and social engagement, encouraging art lovers to venture into the world of art collecting.
“Founded in London in 1999, the Affordable Art Fair pioneered art collecting by introducing transparent pricing and setting price ceilings. This concept has proven successful over the past 24 years in 10 major cities around the world. This year, we are thrilled to celebrate the first edition of Affordable Art Fair Shanghai.
Our aim is to raise a new voice in the market where life aesthetics is growing and to foster easy communication between galleries, artists, collectors, and art enthusiasts. We strive to break barriers, transcend borders, and create a platform where emerging talents and well-established art masters can inspire each other, offering more people the opportunity to engage with art collecting. “

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to our campaign image, “Other Space-4” by Jin Tian from East Gallery!
In a scene dominated by pink, lake blue and grey, two beams of light overlap in an abstract landscape of pale blue, pointing towards a door far away opening to the sea, with a faint dawn at the junction of sea and sky. This is an ‘other world’ with dissolved borders.
“The shadows cast by the two beams of light in the picture are both separate and interconnected.
It represents a translation of the musicality of life and the composition of the painting language. It is also a self-expression formed by the artist’s pure imagination and observation of reality. The different parts are fused into a coherent whole.
Jin Tian escapes the various perspectives of the observer and the narrator, but rather only as himself, constructing a free space between “light” and “shadow” that is unrestricted and infinitely expanding.”
– From Jin Tian’s solo exhibition at East Gallery
