Meet our Official Access Partner returning to Affordable Art Fair Sydney 15 – 18 June at Royal Randwick Racecourse.
We are delighted to partner once again with our official Access Partner Studio A at our upcoming Sydney fair. The enterprise will present a beautiful curation of art with 100% of proceeds helping the organisation pave professional pathways for creatives with intellectual disabilities. Partnering with Affordable Art Fair gives Studio A’s artists the opportunity to meet face-to-face with buyers, receive valuable feedback and connect with the local art-loving community.
To celebrate their return to our upcoming fair, we sat down with the team to learn more about what Studio A does and meet some of their artists coming to our fair.
Studio A is a Sydney-based social enterprise and arts company that makes great art and tackles the barriers artists with intellectual disability face in accessing conventional education, professional development pathways and opportunities needed to be successful and renowned visual artists.
Studio A is driven to ensure artists with intellectual disability have a voice in contemporary Australian culture and to provide employment to our artists through sustainable creative industry careers. Supported by Studio A, our artists are exhibiting and selling work, receiving commissions, licensing their intellectual property and working with leading companies in the commercial and arts sectors.
Studio A provides a full time professional development service to our stable of artists with intellectual disability. We support the creative development of their artwork & the range of management services necessary to market their work. We match our artists strengths with contemporary artists/creatives who have complimentary skills.
Along with the production of artwork, Studio A delivers an exhibition series, public engagement program & manages the sale & delivery of a range of creative services including the lease, licence & commission of artworks. Studio A delivers exhibitions & public programs nationally & now internationally.
So, with Affordable Art Fair Sydney just two weeks away, lets meet Studio A artists coming to the fair!
