There is definitely no such thing as ‘too young to enjoy art’ in our book, just take Affordable Art Fair Amsterdam’s Kids Curated tour as an example.
There is definitely no such thing as ‘too young to enjoy art’ in our book, just take Affordable Art Fair Amsterdam’s Kids Curated tour as an example. Hugely popular at the 2016 fair, the tour is set to make a return next week, 2 – 5 November, De Kromhouthal, helping to develop the next generation of art-lovers.
The Kids Curated tour will inspire budding-Banksy’s by leading them on a journey of creativity around the fair. They will be introduced to paintings, prints, sculptures and photography while being encouraged to discuss the artworks that they are drawn to.
After a round of tense voting, one lucky artwork will even be selected as the overall favourite and the winning artist presented with an award – we’re not even sure if a higher complement is possible! Last year’s winner was “Sheen Green Harefly (Libuellula lagoformosa) by Raoul Deleo. Thanks to Gallery Untitled for selecting such an inspirational piece for the show.
