Join us to celebrate the cultural diversity of London as a creative hub through a variety of events and workshops at this year's Hampstead fair. We’ll be embracing art techniques inspired from far flung places and our returning programme partners JW3 are back with activities for all ages, including a workshop on the folk art of traditional Jewish paper cutting. Learn a little more about JW3 and the wonderful work they do in our interview with Will Jennings, JW3's resident Arts & Culture Programmer.

I am a member of JW3’s brilliant Arts & Culture programming team. We organise everything in the arts you can imagine – from life drawing and watercolour classes, to comedy festivals, theatre, music and more. We also have a gorgeous boutique cinema where you can see the best of the mainstream releases as well as a great curation of Jewish and world cinema, documentaries and live screenings directly from the National Theatre or The Globe.
This is a really hard question to answer, because JW3 is home to such a fantastic array of diverse programming! We run a regular event called ‘Art Salon’ which takes a different theme and invites artists to talk about their work – the next event in May is themed around ‘Law’ and will include celebrated author Frances Fyfield and court artist Isobel Williams.
I am also really excited that we are welcoming architect Daniel Libeskind to JW3 in June as part of the London Festival of Architecture. He will be in conversation with Samira Ahmed talking about his creative process and how he has travelled across the world through his fantastic career.
Our Art Studio is a wonderful part of JW3 and we have a wide range of courses including photography, watercolour painting and calligraphy all led by practicing artists.
For the affordable art fair we are excited to offer two of our most popular classes. On Thursday from 1pm Tamara Mizroch will be running ‘Drawing for the Perplexed’, offering tips and experiments in essential drawing skills, helping the nervous beginner while also giving new ideas of mark making to the more experienced artists.
While on Friday from 1pm artist Benedict Romain will be leading a session to help you with your portraiture skills so that you’ll have the confidence to use light and shade to sketch a likeness of your nearest and dearest.
