Water & Rock

Water & Rock was established under the name Bristol Contemporary Art in 2011 and changed its name in 2022. It was set up by Abigail McDougall as an online “nomadic” gallery and set up many pop-up exhibitions in Bristol. In 2014, with the support of Leah Heming, the gallery started taking part in art fairs across the UK and in Belgium.

Initially the gallery was set up to exhibit Bristol artists, but it has evolved over the years to exhibit artists from anywhere in the UK and Belgium whose art focuses on an intimacy with nature, the geometric patterns in nature or beautiful and unique textures.
