Why do I need to book a timed ticket?
Timed tickets allow us to monitor the number of people in the fair and offer a safe, socially distanced experience to visitors.
How do timed tickets work?
○ Choose best date and time to suit you when purchasing your ticket.
○ You will receive your digital ticket by email. These can be added to an e-wallet, left as a PDF email attachment, or printed.
○ Arrive during the time slot shown on your ticket. This time slot only limits your arrival time, not the duration of your visit to the fair.
○ Show your ticket on arrival – either printed or on your phone, this will be scanned by our staff at the entry.
How far in advance do I need to buy tickets?
With limited capacity, in order to secure the date / time you want, we suggest you book your tickets as soon as possible.
Do kids under 16 need a ticket?
No, children 16 and younger do not need a ticket to enter, but they must be accompanied by an adult with a timed ticket and adhere to our onsite safety protocols.
Can I buy a timed concession ticket?
There are discounted Student and Senior tickets available, however to purchase these you will need to request through email and provide proof of age or student status. If this applies, please contact email@example.com.
Can I buy a ticket in person on the day?
All tickets must be purchased online in advance. If you do not have a valid ticket with you upon arrival, you may not be able to enter the fair.
Can I book a group visit?
To help you enjoy a socially distanced and safe fair, we are not offering group tickets. You will need to purchase each ticket individually, but you are free to coordinate with friends and family, within reason, to attend during the same hour time slot if there is availability.
Will my ticket allow me to re-enter the fair?
Unfortunately, this will not be possible due to the need to manage event capacity. To re-enter the fair safely, you will need to purchase a new timed entry ticket.
Can I change my ticket date or time after purchasing it?

Can I get a refund on my ticket?
Tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-exchangeable. However, at our discretion, we may be able exchange some tickets for alternative dates and times, providing we have availability. We are not able to exchange tickets which are valid for past dates or time slots.
My plans have changed and I no longer need my free ticket. What should I do?
Please cancel your ticket or let us know if you cannot attend, so that we can make your space available for someone else. If this applies, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
I have a ticket to the 2020 NYC fair which is valid for the 2021 fair, how do I get my timed ticket?
You will have priority access to tickets for the relevant 2021 fair. We will send out email communications from Eventbrite to let you know when these are available, so that you can choose your arrival time.
The time slot I want is sold out; do you have a waiting list?
While we would love to accommodate everyone’s ideal date and time, in order to create a socially safe environment at the fair with reduced capacity, we are not able to offer a waiting list.
Once I leave the fair, can I re-enter another time / day?

HEALTH AND SAFETY
What social distancing and hygiene measures are you taking to make the fair safe?
Our Safe Fair Policy includes a limited capacity fair with longer hours. Entry to the fair is only permissible if you have a timed ticket. To enjoy the fair we are organising one-way routes with clear signage. To reduce contact points, all payments will be taken by card only. We will be operating an enhanced cleaning schedule along with providing hand sanitizer, face masks and temperature checks for fair visitors. Our safety protocols will be updated as we get closer to the fair in-line with government guidelines.
Will I need to wear a face mask?
Yes, all staff, exhibitors and attendees will be required to wear a face mask during their entire time in the Metropolitan Pavilion.
What measures are you taking to ensure your staff and galleries are kept safe?
Exhibitors and staff will be asked to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test no older than 3 days from the start of the fair build. During the fair, we will continue to perform wellness checks including temperature checks and of course, any staff who are feeling unwell will be asked to stay at home.
If I feel unwell on the day my ticket is booked, what should I do?
Please stay at home if you are feeling sick.
THE FAIR EXPERIENCE
Can I still buy and take art home on the same day?
Yes, we will provide a complimentary self-wrap station for exhibitors who have sold artworks to clients wishing to take their purchase home immediately. Additionally, in order to avoid queuing and to make the process as smooth as possible, sold artworks may be submitted to professional wrap and shipping for next day delivery by our Official Shipping Partner, The British Shop.
Can I make an advanced appointment with a gallery?
Please reach out to the gallery directly and coordinate an appointment with them. You can find gallery contact details on each of our gallery pages on affordableartfair.com/fairs/new-york-spring.
Will there be a wrapping desk and delivery service?

Will the café / restaurant be open?
No, to reduce contact points, this year there will be no food or beverage onsite. However, within the Chelsea area there are plenty of take away food and beverage providers within a stone’s throw of the fair.
Will you have wifi on site?
No, there is no wifi available onsite.
What programming will take place at the fair?
To ensure a safe fair, all programming will be held digitally in the lead-up to the fair. Check our What’s on page to see what we’ve lined up.
Are strollers allowed?
Yes, as always strollers are welcome, but please keep in mind that there will be one-way traffic throughout the fair and you will need to maintain a socially distant space between your family and other visitors.
Will fair guides and maps be available?
To help reduce contact points, this year we will be offering a digital fair guide which you’ll be able to download before coming to the fair, and print should you wish. We will also have QR code points throughout the fair so you can access the fair guide once on site as well.
Will guided tours be taking place?
No, due to social distancing we will not be operating guided tours this edition.
Will the restrooms be open?
Yes, our restrooms will be open and we will be operating enhanced cleaning and providing hand sanitizer.
