Ambassador Artist 2019: Loes van Delft

Throughout the fair

Another first for this year! We're proud to present our first ever Ambassador Artist, Loes van Delft. Loes will be exhibiting at the entrance to the fair and creating a special limited edition print available exclusively for sale at the fair. Plus, a percentage of the proceeds from all sales will go towards our Charity Partner, Action Aid. Get to know Loes better by checking out our ‘Meet the Artist’ blog.

De Kromhouthal Mural: Jad El Khoury

Throughout the fair

In the run up to the fair this year, award-winning Lebanese street artist Jad El Khoury has been creating a new permanent mural on the outside of de Kromhouthal. Jad’s work is themed around ‘connectivity’ and he is known for dressing the war wounds of Beirut with his colourful, fun doodles. We’re privileged to welcome Jad’s mural and solo show to the fair this year. To learn more about Jad, check out our blog.

‘Leap of Faith': Joseph Klibansky

Throughout the fair

Exciting announcement alert! For the first time, we'll be welcoming renowned artist Joseph Klibansky to the fair this year. ‘Leap of Faith’, one of Joseph’s monumental sculptures will be gracing the space by our Coffee Bar and we can’t wait to see it blowing up all over our visitors’ Instagrams!

For those that aren't familiar with Joseph's work, the Naarden-based artist is famed for his large-scale sculptures and large mixed media paintings, which explore themes of hope and belief. His work is highly symbolic and frequently involves icons such as teddy bears, Disney characters and, in the case of 'Leap of Faith', astronauts.

Stefan Yordanov

Throughout the fair

Globally-acclaimed artist Stefan Yordanov will be lighting up the fair this year with one of his magnificent light installations. Combining fluorescent tube lighting with steel and skeletons, these sculptures are truly a sight to behold. Not to be missed in our Lounge area!

Platform Projects

Throughout the fair

This year we’re excited to welcome our Platform Projects, with artists showcasing a curated selection of artworks from light installations to nature-inspired abstracts.

Enrico Nieuwenhuis portrays his inner landscapes through the layering, daubing and scraping of bold colours. Horizon-inspired works by Eva Kruis truly encapsulate the movements, ripples, repetitions and rhythms found in nature. Martina Falk's intuitive art depicts the intensity of her surroundings through altered forms on her canvases. Stacy Kalb's love of minimalism and experimentation evoke the purity of different environments through the softness and depth of the colours. And the 3D-installations by Ferdi de Bruijn's blend of techniques and talent give 'assemblage' a different meaning.
