SELLER BEST PRACTICE GUIDELINES
Follow our seller guidelines to ensure your buyers receive the best possible experience from the Affordable Art Fair website and keep them coming back for more!
THE GROUND RULES
Please only upload one-off original artworks or signed and numbered limited edition prints or sculptures to your Affordable Art Fair account. We will only let approved artworks onto the platform which meet our quality standards – open-ended editions and giclée artwork reproductions cannot be accepted.
All listing details must be an accurate reflection of the artwork they depict, including the materials used and dimensions.
All artwork photographs must be in focus, in a web-friendly resolution (1500px max) and be well lit (when applicable). They should provide an accurate view of the artwork, free from physical obstructions and digital additions, including watermarks.
Shipping tables must be kept up-to-date with quotes which accurately represent your costs. Always include duty where applicable and ship with a courier which enables Delivery Duty Paid.
Please respect the intellectual property of others and do not list any artworks which are in violation of this.
Keep your prices on your Affordable Art Fair account consistent with those on any other outlets through which you sell; be that online, at fairs, or in a gallery space.
If you sell an artwork listed on the Affordable Art Fair website via another sales channel, please update your account to reflect this as soon as possible to avoid disappointing our enthusiastic shoppers.
Ensure you ship all artworks within your stated turnover time period – nobody likes hanging around for deliveries any longer than they have to!
Please keep your buyers informed of any potential delays or unforeseen difficulties as soon as you become aware of them.
We understand that running a gallery is a very busy business, but we ask you to respond as quickly as possible to any communication received via the Affordable Art Fair messaging system.
We recommend using a fully traceable method of delivery. Whether you choose to insure your artworks in transit or not is entirely at your sole discretion, and should you choose not to, it is at your own risk.
All artworks must be packaged sufficiently to withstand any potential damage during shipment. Read our Packaging and Delivery Guidelines for our top tips on transporting art safely!
If you, or your artworks, are going to be unavailable for an extended period of time – whether that be because you are taking a well earned break, or because your works are winging their way to one of our fairs – please make sure you set your account status to ‘Gallery Holiday Mode’ so customers are made aware of any delays to communications and fulfilments.
WELCOME TO THE FAMILY
All interaction with your fellow Affordable Art Fair galleries should be respectful, courteous and free from any offensive or abusive content. As they say, please do to others as you would have them do to you.
As an Affordable Art Fair member, we ask you to keep all your communications on our platform topical and to not use the messaging system for mass promotional activity or spam... nobody wants that.
Please do not attempt to move potential sales generated through the Affordable Art Fair platform offline or to any other websites, and do not exchange personal contact details over the Affordable Art Fair messaging system. Any sales generated through our platform must be completed within it to ensure the best possible buying experience for our loyal customers.
