About Richard Peacock

About the artwork

Where corals lie – "I first used the idea of working with a spiral shape in a commission I made a few years ago. This is a very rectangular spiral! Shells grow in spirals, which led to the idea of coral, partially also inspired by a piece of music by These New Puritans. Each of the colours only appear in one orientation (e.g. all the yellows are portrait and all of the greys are landscape)."
