Fair overview

After a hugely successful second edition in May 2025, Affordable Art Fair will be returning to Brisbane in 2026! Join us in May at the Brisbane Showgrounds Exhibition Building in Bowen Hills. With an exciting art scene in Brisbane and beyond, the fair will be showcasing galleries from Queensland and across Australia with a mixture of emerging and established artists. Whether you’re a lover of landscapes, smitten with sculpture or an adorer of abstracts, we’re sure you’ll find something to suit your taste, space and spend!

We respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of Meanjin, who are the Traditional Owners of the land on which Affordable Art Fair is held and pay our respect to their Elders past and present.

  • There will be family-friendly workshops, evening events perfect for a date, and panel discussions on relevant topics in the art scene. We’ll also have places to sit down and take a break with some delicious food and drink. There is never a dull moment at an Affordable Art Fair! We want to inspire the next generation of art lovers and have a range of family fun for all ages. Free facepainting, colouring sheets, artist murals, live-painting demonstrations, installations and more await. Visit our what’s on to explore the full programme.

  • Venue access is on the corner of Gregory Terrace and Costin Street in Bowen Hills. We encourage all our visitors to use sustainable methods of transportation.

    Nearby trains include the Bowen Hills and Fortitude Valley Station followed by a short walk to the venue. There is a bus stop on St. Paul’s Terrace near King Street. Various other public buses are available to the RBWH Station, which is a 600m walk to the venue. Numerous bike racks are located on King Street.   • There are several car parks located within the Brisbane Showgrounds area.

    • The Pavilion car park accessible via Gate 5, 53 O’Connell Terrace (including eight disabled parking bays)
    • Royal International Convention Centre (Royal ICC) car park accessible via 600 Gregory Terrace (including two disabled parking bays)
    • King Street car park accessible via Machinery Street
    • Rydges car park accessible via Carriage Street.
