Mike Chavez was classically trained as an animator and in a career spanning over 16 years worked for such studios as Disney, Warner Brothers and DreamWorks. In 2006 he switched his focus to fine art and quickly gained kudos for his skill and uncompromising subject matter. Mike’s prints use animal imagery to create bold and humorous observations of everyday human interaction. His use of repeated and reflected creatures in static poses contrast the amusing and active text to create comical pieces through simple arrangements conceived in a witty manner.
