Jeremy Annear was born in Exeter in 1949, and trained at the Exeter School of Art. He lives and works in Cornwall. He is a member of the Newlyn Society of Artists and the Penwith Society of Artists.
Jeremy Annear is a British abstract artist, born in 1949 in Exeter, UK. He was influenced by other artists during his family holidays to Cornwall, specifically those from the modernist community of West Penwith in the 1950/60’s. During the mid 60’s he attended Exeter Collage of Art. It was at this same time his began exhibiting his works. In the 80’s he moved to Cornwall to paint full time and early signs of an assured ‘language’ of painting began to form.
