Each edition of the Affordable Art Fair NYC, we bring our visitors a new activation to continue raising awareness and funds for the New York fair’s Official Non-Profit Partner, Art Therapy Outreach Center (ATOC), where underserved populations who experienced some form of trauma – including, but not limited to, war veterans, at-risk youth, and survivors of domestic violence – learn to see themselves as survivors rather than victims, enabling them to re-engage in their communities.

At the 2016 NYC fall edition, visitors were able to learn about ATOC, doodle for a cause, and discover a collection of tiles created by Affordable Art Fair artists who’ve contributed to a larger collection of work themed around, “turning negative energy positive.” Not only were these works exhibited at the fair, but also, the works will be auctioned off at the Art Therapy Outreach Center’s 5th Anniversary Gala on October 20th 2016 in NYC.
