Linda Blackstone Gallery (D09)

Emma Whitelock, presented by Linda Blackstone Gallery, merges her literary passion with the poetic essence in her works. Her evocative land and seascapes explore themes of memory and solitude against nature’s vastness. With a distinctive style that blends semi-abstraction and a focus on composition, Emma’s use of color captures moments suspended between day and night. She emphasizes texture through layered materials, primarily using acrylic alongside heavy gesso and glazes, allowing her mark-making to evolve freely.

Diverso Art Gallery (B09)

Gallery Milcreek (E03)

Artist Minkyung Shim is an emerging artist based in Seoul, Korea, who you’ll find at Gallery Milcreek‘s stand. Her work is inspired by the harmonious coexistence of humans, nature, and animals, with a particular focus on cats as a reflection of human life and emotions. Through the fusion of feline imagery and landscape painting, she evokes a sense of peace and deep rest, offering a visual expression of modern society’s longing for tranquility and hope.

Art WeMe (A12)

Li Chuan Wei is an accomplished oil painter, sculptor, and curator. His artistic style blends the free spirit of Abstract Expressionism with the raw power of primitive art. Through bold strokes and fragmented lines, he constructs a visual language that navigates the space between abstraction and figuration. His pieces capture the primal essence of traditional murals while embodying the improvisation and freedom of contemporary art. Ubu Deco Gallery (B07)

Davy Kit, presented by Ubu Deco Gallery, creates miniature art that invites viewers to slow down and appreciate intricate details. His pieces capture fleeting memories and emotions, embodying the belief that small things can hold profound meaning. Selected as one of the Discover: Young Talent artists at the Affordable Art Fair Sydney 2024, Davy’s work reflects nostalgia, drawing inspiration from his cherished memories of Hong Kong and his vibrant experiences in Australia. This year, he returns to Hong Kong with a new series that explores his childhood memories of the 90s, incorporating pop culture elements such as video games, toys, and beloved movies that continue to resonate with him.

Route Guide 2 – Chinese Contemporary Ink

Traditional themes usually include mountains, water (“shan shui” in mandarin), nature and landscapes. Oi Ling Gallery (B04)


Founded by sisters Mei Ling and Oi Ling Chiang, Oi Ling Gallery has been a vibrant part of the contemporary art scene since 2000, attracting visitors from across Asia and beyond. This year, Oi Ling Gallery will feature 6 outstanding contemporary ink artists, in particular Mia Nel, known for her unique sugar-based works that blend Chinese and Western artistic elements, and Prudence Mak, who adds a whimsical twist to traditional ink painting.

K&J Gallery (G09)

K&J Gallery will be presenting a diverse array of contemporary ink works at the Hong Kong fair this May, featuring 9 talented artists who are pioneers in the ink painting scene. Expect to see innovative techniques that blend traditional Chinese methods, such as fine brushwork and “boneless” painting, with modern motifs and formats. Established artists like Francis Ng and Yvonne Chow will highlight the emotional depth of ink painting, while newcomers like Iris Choi and Jenny Hu will offer refreshing perspectives through their unique interpretations. Each piece reflects the artists’ personal experiences and insights, capturing themes of love, healing, and nature, all while honoring the rich heritage of Chinese ink painting.

Blink Gallery (A05)

Blink Gallery, one of our longest-standing exhibitors since 2013, presents Mr. Poon Kwing Wing, who redefines traditional ink painting in his “Harmony” series. By combining dry-brush and monochromatic techniques, he creates striking contrasts and a dreamlike quality in both his  “Kindness” and “Double Happiness” collections. His expert use of negative space imbues the works with movement and balance, celebrating Chinese artistic tradition while inviting viewers to explore the profound resonance of his masterful creations.

Galeri Koo (H05)

Galerie Koo will present a diverse array of photography from talented artists Anthony Chan, Danny Chau, and Matthieu Venot. Chan blends contemporary themes with traditional techniques, exploring cultural identities and urban landscapes through mixed media and digital manipulation. Chau focuses on texture and detail, utilizing macro photography to reveal intricate elements often overlooked, while employing layering to enhance depth. Venot captures the interplay of light and shadow with long-exposure techniques, transforming everyday moments into serene visual poetry. Together, these artists showcase an array of innovative approaches that push the boundaries of contemporary photography, appealing to both seasoned collectors and new art enthusiasts.

Laurence Lai Gallery (H02)

Laurence Lai Gallery, founded by renowned photographer Laurence Lai, is a creative space dedicated to the art of photography, located at Central Star Ferry Pier 7 since 2001. The gallery features a curated collection of fine art photography, including landscapes, urban sketches, and conceptual works that reflect Lai’s distinctive style, blending technical precision with artistic vision. At the Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong 2025, the gallery will showcase Lai’s signature pieces, highlighting his masterful use of long exposure, meticulous composition, and traditional darkroom techniques. These elements combine to create visually stunning images that invite viewers to engage with the narrative and beauty of the world around them.

HKI Gallery (E08)

Founded in 2016 in Hong Kong’s Wanchai district, HKI Gallery focuses on contemporary art, particularly fine art and street photography. At the Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong, the gallery presents a selection of photography that explores urban life and impermanence, featuring Sean Foley’s nostalgic street scenes of fading neon signs, Gretchen So’s introspective nighttime images, and Marcel Heijnen’s unique glass panel technique that merges reflections with weathered walls. Additionally, Sacha Yasumoto celebrates decay through vibrant mixed media, while Michelle Copini redefines storytelling by incorporating painted figures into her documentation of forgotten objects and street scenes. Together, these artists offer diverse perspectives that blend technical mastery with emotional depth, making their works essential viewing at the fair.
