The 10th edition of Affordable Art Fair Milan (7 – 9 February, Superstudio Più) is about to get underway! So, to help you get the most out of your visit we’ve pulled together a handy list of unmissable special projects and activities!

Read on to make sure you don’t miss out on any of the highlights at the fair:

THE MILAN ‘NOT-TO-BE-MISSED’ LIST

1. Join one of our fascinating art talks

With such interesting topics, we’ve placed our series of art talks first in our not-to-be-missed list!

Start the day with Art For Breakfast, who will be leading a series of talks dedicated to the fascinating world of illustration: Francesca Tribò and Giulia Vitali will interview illustrator Ana Popescu and Chiara Pozzi of Illustrazioni Seriali, plus on Sunday don’t miss their extra special event Ladies Drawing Night.

Prompted by the questions raised recently by The Comedian, and the growing demand for “experiential” art forms, on Friday we will be holding an unmissable talk on the immaterial art market featuring Alessia Zorloni and Alessandra Donati. Kooness will host an event on collecting among the younger generations, while TheArtGorgeous will conclude the series with a talk entitled “FEMpowerment”: Cordelia Noe, CEO & Founder of TheArtGorgeous, Valentina Bizzotto, Advisor and Cultural Strategist, and Chiara Dal Maso, an artist and illustrator, will discuss female empowerment in the art world.

Finally, don’t miss the sessions held by IED on new art professions, as well as a talk by art advisor Caterina Verardi, on how to choose your first work of art and start a collection.

2. A personal art shopping session!

Speaking of choosing your first artwork, if you’re on the hunt for that perfect piece – take advantage of our personal shopping sessions led by Verardi Art Advisory. If you’re stuck thinking about all the different style options, how to work within your space or budget, expert art advisor Caterina Verardi is here to help. Experience the thrill of taking your safely wrapped artwork home (thanks to Mail Boxes Etc.!) and begin your collectors journey at the fair.

3. Entertain your little ones at the fair!

Immerse your little one’s in a world of art that is sure to broaden their mind! Given them the wonderful experience of being surrounded by creativity at the fair, plus you can enjoy your visit in complete relaxation with our new Stroller Hour! On Saturday and Sunday Affordable Art Fair opens one hour earlier for parents, children – and strollers! – with a special ticket for you to browse the fair hassle free.

Additionally, for children aged 3 years and over, Spazio Bimbi (the Kids Space) is open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with creative workshops by Lop-Lop.

4. Enjoy a signature cocktail

During your visit to the fair, when you want to enjoy some well-deserved relaxation, a stop at the signature cocktail bar created by Compagnia dei Caraibi is an absolute must! Plus, especially from Salvia & Limone, enjoy “Unexpected Bites” a special cocktail accompanied by a delicious treat created by master confectioner Sal De Riso. The event takes place each day at 4pm.

Finally, don’t miss the aperitif hour, each day at the fair at 6 pm, and enjoy a delicious cocktail by Compagnia dei Caraibi surrounded by works of art – perfect!

5. Speed date with an artist!

This is a unique opportunity to ask all the questions that you have never asked an artist before. The Supergiovane space will be frequented by a series of talented artists who have either participated or will participate in the exhibitions of their project. Supergiovane was launched in 2018 in Milan by four independent Italian artists with the aim of developing and fostering young artists’ super ideas. They’ll be awaiting you to chat, discuss and create new connections in a space without any artworks on the walls, but each bringing a single work to discuss and available for anyone who visits to purchase.
