Returning this May 22 – 25, Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong promises an exciting selection of artworks that blend local talent with global influences. We’ve carefully chosen four newcomers, each presenting innovative artworks designed to captivate and inspire. We caught up with them to learn more about their contributions to the fair and gathered some insightful perspectives.
Gallery G-77
Noriko Kurafuji, Nagare Waltz of Flowers, Oil on Canvas, 162x130cm, Gallery G-77
Gallery G-77 is a contemporary art gallery based in Kyoto, Japan, with roots in St. Petersburg, Russia. The gallery is dedicated to fusing traditional aesthetics with contemporary expression, showcasing both emerging and established artists across painting, sculpture, and mixed media. At G-77, they value artworks that provoke thought, explore the unknown, and resonate on a personal level with viewers. Their goal is to present art that engages audiences both intellectually and emotionally. After an inspiring visit to the Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong in 2024, they were compelled to participate, recognising it as an exceptional opportunity to connect with a diverse art community and engage with collectors who appreciate contemporary art.
At the upcoming Hong Kong 2025 fair, G-77 will highlight works from Japanese artists such as Noriko Kurafuji, Naoki Inagaki, and Eri Shimamoto. These artists seamlessly integrate traditional techniques with contemporary themes, offering distinctive interpretations of Japanese artistic heritage.
Capital Culture Gallery
Capital Culture Gallery’s mission is to promote an optimistic view of the world through artistic expression. To achieve this, the gallery collaborates with a select group of artists who share this vision, presenting their interpretations of various subjects, from people and animals, to cityscapes and landscapes.
The gallery showcases a range of artistic mediums, including painting, printmaking, sculpture, and photography, all focused on highlighting the beauty of life and the environment.
Nando Kallweit Antonio and Patricia, 2 pieces Bronze sculpture, edition of 25, 50x15x15cm, HK$17,500, Capital Culture Gallery
Art Movement
Alvaro Petritoli, Moon rising, 2021, Ink on Paper, 41x51cm, Art Movement Gallery
For their first Hong Kong Affordable Art Fair, Art Movement is presenting “THE HEALING POWER OF ART.” This exhibition celebrates its 25-year journey with Affordable Art Fair globally, showcasing artworks that transport viewers and foster emotional connections.
The space will feature new talent Henry McAlpine, alongside best-selling artist Alvaro Petritoli, who has achieved international success since debuting at Afforable Art Fair Battersea 10 years ago.
“My creative process is incredibly connected with my subconscious … although they are also carefully planned in their execution, each work emerges from a continuous process of layering, erasing, and reprocessing, resulting in the constant discovery of new alchemic combinations.” – Alvaro Petritoli.

Known for its tranquil ambiance and cultural significance, the gallery hosts exhibitions on contemporary Korean art, supporting the careers of artists both domestically and internationally.
