One of the highlights is be comic artist Siu Man Kam. His interesting take on the female figure is thought-provoking considers how one should portray and perceive the image of a woman: should they always be voluptuous and sexy, or they can also be fun and happy? The buck teeth of the characters is Kam’s signature and it cannot be mistaken.

We love artist June Mung’s works as her sculptures bring all of us back to our childhood. They might not be hyper realistic, but the human touch of the sculptures gives us warmth and carry us back to the good ol’ times.
Affordable Art Fair first-timer Aurum joins the fair with the core message and value of “authenticity”. Audrey Lu, a self-taught artist that is represented Aurum has brought us a series of artworks that touches our hearts. The sense of lost and loneliness of the protagonist in the artworks echoes with people who are experiencing different stages of their lives. “This painting is perhaps the closest to my current stage, and I feel that I have reached an age where I can almost understand the world, but not entirely,” explained Audrey.

On top of representing Corn Ho, one of our Young Talents last year, Odds and Ends will bring us artist Nasim G. Pachi’s works. Nasim grew up in Iran and her education, marriage and career have moved her around Europe, West Africa and Southeast Asia. As a true global citizen, Nasim’s works are fuelled by social, cultural and political paradoxes she has experienced. She also places the character(s) in her artworks against bold patterns without having their faces and location shown to the public, as she wants audience to observe.
Founded by Enders Wong, Hong Kong award-winning ceramic, kintsugi artist and collector, it is not difficult to guess the general curatorial angle of Touch Gallery. Not only promoting local artists, but the gallery also provides a platform to exhibit international artists and audience to have cultural exchange and show works of different aesthetics.
Japanese artist Sayaka Shingu’s sculpture is breath-taking. You can’t help but lean in and see its delicate details. Unlike other artworks themed on flowers, her sculptures use mostly black, white and grey clay as she wants to radiate the cold and fierce beauty of everlasting flowers, which contrasts strongly to the very nature of botanical creatures in real-life.
