Located at the famous Fasanenstraße in Charlottenburg, in a beautiful gallery space with an impressive stucco-decorated ceiling, artnow Gallery presents selected artists with distinct positions.

The gallery owners, Ulrike and Felix, focus on self-contained and highly aesthetic art, often presenting minimalistic work with clear lines beside floral and landscape paintings. You’ll recognise a gentle and refined feel, which runs through the works of the presented artists.

During their regular taking events and exhibition openings, often connected with an acoustic company, you’ll meet a range of regularly returning clients who enjoy the neighbourly atmosphere of the area.

BERLIN-MITTE
Opening times: Tuesday – Saturday 12:00 – 18:00

Led by Renata and Vishal and located in Berlin-Mitte, bba gallery has worked since 2017 with empowering ‘emerging’ to ‘mid-career’ artists from all over the world. These terms don’t really matter of course, what matters is that the artists have someone on their side to champion their work.

The name BBA stands for Berlin Blue Art’, taken from the original name for the pigment ‘Prussian Blue’. A shining example of mastery and innovation, Berlin Blue was created during the 18th century to combat shades of blue that were prone to fading. This colour was revolutionary, allowing artists to capture the mysterious beauty of the night sky or the aura of the ocean; a blue so deep it almost resembles black. The successful experimentation and enduring power of Prussian, or ‘Berlin Blue,’ perfectly represent our staying power, constant evolution, and tireless pursuit of artistic progression.

Beside running the open and light gallery space with continuing exhibitions and opening events, Renata and Vishal also founded BBA Prizes, an internationally renowned prize for photography.

‘Rote Blumen (Hubertussee)’ | Beate Köhne | 21 x 25cm | 320€
‘Marble Marvel #7’ | Loc Boyle | 120 x 180cm | edition size: 5 | 3.690€
Opening times: Wed – Sat 2 – 6 pm

With the Serpen’ Gallery, Berlin now has its first venue for contemporary Ukrainian art. Two years ago, Natalia came to Berlin from Ukraine and wanted to do something meaningful. Then, by chance, the gallery on Auguststrasse closed down and were looking for a new tenant; this was the starting point for Serpen Gallery. “Serpen” is the Ukrainian word for the month of August, connected to the street name in Berlin.

Natalia’s aim is that collectors start buying Ukrainian art and for Ukrainian art to become better known. At the time being, contemporary Ukrainian art simply doesn’t exist on the European map right now and she hopes that the Serpen Gallery, as a small Ukrainian cultural center, will contribute to changing that.

‘Half empty’ | Yurii Koval | 2025 | Oil on peper | 31×41 cm | 750€
