Blythe, the Director of our Amsterdam Fair, has curated her top picks from The Affordable Online Art Fair galleries (9 April – 3 May 2021).
Over many years the fearless leader of our Amsterdam fair, has created a personal art collection that her “descendents will fight each other for” including works that explore the subconscious, which is a personal source of inspiration for her. In her picks curated collection she has selected a series of dynamic works from The Affordable Online Art Fair galleries (9 April – 3 May).
“’They say all art collectors have two collections – one with the art they bought and another one full of the art that got away…’ This selection is the artworks that will live on in my memory long after The Affordable Online Fair Art has closed its digital doors.
On the walls of my mind, Bas Uterwijk’s AI portrait of Jesus is inspiring me to be a better person and the theatrical urban stage set of Iran-born, Berlin-based, Farzin Faroutan’s ‘I’m not here, even not there’ has me enraptured. Wil Jansen’s extraordinary work, all wild textures and deep reds, looks like a ‘Romeo & Juliet’ translated into an abstract oil painting. And I love the way Andrea Gallo, Marta Fabregas and Hoodkitsch all dismantle the world and put it back together in fresh, sophisticated and totally different ways!
I envy all the collectors who wind up with these heavenly works.” Blythe Bolton
