Ahead of our Battersea Summer fair (8 – 11 July) we've pulled together a selection of the exciting, not-to-be-missed highlights!
We’re delighted that Affordable Art Fair Battersea Summer (8 – 11 July, Battersea Park) will be the first gallery-led fair to return to London since March 2020. Packed with arty installations and tasty treats to fuel your art-hunt, read on for the highlights at the fair…
Josh Gluckstein will bring a selection of animals to the fair, including a life-size Galapagos turtle and other furry and feathered friends. A former Affordable Art Fair Recent Grad, Josh aims to raise awareness for endangered species found throughout Asia, Africa and South America. Not only are the animals incredibly life-like and thoroughly joyful, they’re also sustainable, made entirely from recycled cardboard and paper! It’s no wonder our CEO and Fair Founder, Will Ramsay, snapped one up when Josh originally exhibited as a part of our 2013 Autumn edition. Find the animals near to the Framers Corner.
Recently featured on the Talk Art podcast as part of the AAF x Campari Art Without Walls campaign, Ellie Tate will be creating a bespoke mural in the new café seating area.
As a fair assistant in years gone by, to an artist with Will’s Art Warehouse (stand B4), she has seen the fair from every angle and will certainly be contributing something incredibly exciting to this one-off Battersea Summer edition.

Artist Lara Bowen will take commissions on artworks that help commemorate lockdown. Born from a love of paint charts, Lara felt much of the language used in lockdown sounded like fancy paint colours, from ‘Furlough’ to ‘Isolation’ and ‘Bubble’.
Visitors can commission their own bespoke lockdown colour chart which Laura calls ‘Colourful Language’, with the artist even hand-daubing some on site in groups of 4 – 10.
This year we’re proud to partner with Arts4Dementia. Some of our generous artists have donated amazing works to be sold on behalf of the charity, with 50% of the proceeds going to the wonderful work they do in the community empowering people affected by dementia. The Arts4Dementia stand (L6) will also present artworks created by the incredible participants from their workshop programmes, to raise awareness of the benefits of the arts for people with dementia.
This beautiful piece by Sonia Levasque is an example of the quality of works on offer. Titled ‘In Conversation With Flowers’, Sonia captures and preserves one of her lockdown moments in London over this past year.
