The Tolman Collection

The Tolman Collection of Tokyo, their parent company, was established in 1972 by my mother and father. The Tolman Collection is known for its educational approach to print showing, the pristine condition of the artwork that we show and for our tradition of buying entire editions and mentoring artists through exclusivity contracts. They are now the world’s largest publishers of contemporary Japanese graphic art.

In the over 50 years since our first gallery was established in Tokyo, it has been an exciting journey to see how many people have begun collecting in this field. The Tolman Collection looks forward to sharing their passion with you, introducing wonderful art and artists, and communicating their personal and educational approach to the wonderful world of Japanese art.
