Storehouse

Storehouse in St Kilda was originally established in Koonwarra, South Gippsland in 2014 and opened in St Kilda in early 2017. The Koonwarra Storehouse had originally been the residence for the Koonwarra General Store, which is the origin of its name.

While showcasing the things it values and the makers and artists it admires, Storehouse’s intention is to be highly discerning in its selection of unique products that have inherent worth and are created ethically.

Its extensive and diverse fine art collection is created by exceptional, internationally recognised and emerging local artists. Close relationships with these artists support strong connections to the works and rare creative collaborations.

Storehouse offers objects crafted by nearby artisans, products made by small iconic businesses in Melbourne, custom-made items handmade by trusted local makers, and the occasional vintage treasure. Some products are included simply through a genuine connection and a recognition of their quality and worth.

It always considers the why, where and how of its works and products. Everything it offers is intended to become a favourite and to be loved for a lifetime.
