As the name suggests, SEA Gallery holds a close affinity with the Australian Coastline.
The ocean, its inhabitants and the way of life it encourages are pillars of inspiration for all of our resident artists. Being based in Port Douglas, wedged between the World Heritage Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest, SEA Gallery’s work reflects the blurred lines of this ruggedly beautiful area. A place of extremes in weather, landscape and lifestyle that has a holdfast grip on those who live here and captivates those who visit.
David’s photography depicts the raw beauty of life above and below the water through shape and pattern. Stephanie captures the ocean’s wild inhabitants and their environment with her fluid abstract realism. Donna’s vibrant use of colour echoes the warmth of our seaside community, their connection with the coast and with each other.
