The operation of Galleria Contempo started on Lönnrotinkatu at the same time as the world economy unexpectedly went into recession after a long period of growth. The starting situation for the art gallery was a challenge, but a large group of supporters was there to encourage and instill faith in trying.

We value international cooperation. We have brought exhibitions of foreign artists to Contempo. French artists include Kambiz, Lionel Borla, Stéphane Cattanéo and Fobé. Accordingly, we have taken our Finnish collaborating artists to the world, twice to our own exhibitions in Paris and to an art fair in Stockholm. For our part, we enable visibility in domestic art quality events. In the future, we want to invest even more in international activities and creating networks.
