Coe Gallery is the UK’s first Aboriginal owned gallery dedicated to supporting Emerging and Established Aboriginal artists, providing them with fair representation and visibility within the UK.
Coe Gallery hope by creating a space for Aboriginal artists to share their art and stories with UK audiences, it will contribute towards healing and hope for positive change, an understanding of history and cultural exchange. They welcome everyone to their exhibitions to come and celebrate Aboriginal arts and learn of the many different Aboriginal cultures that make up the continent. Much of the art is a love of the artists homelands and they hope these artworks will install a love of nature in visitors as well.
Coe Gallery was created in 2022 by artist and curator Jasmine Coe and takes its name in honour of Jasmine’s father, Aboriginal activist Paul Coe and family. In 2023 Jasmine was chosen by the Australian Prime Minister to attend The King’s Coronation based on the values and achievements Coe Gallery accomplished in its first year.
