Founded in Kuala Lumpur in 2015, Art WeMe Contemporary has been dedicated to promoting outstanding Asian contemporary art and connecting collectors with exceptional works across the region. Over the years, the gallery has participated in leading international art fairs in Beijing, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Seoul, Shanghai, and Taipei, building a strong global presence while staying true to its belief that art enriches living spaces and reflects personal taste, culture, and identity.
In response to the evolving habits of collectors and audiences, Art WeMe Contemporary has transitioned in 2025 to a more agile model: operating primarily online, with selected art fairs, “pop-up” exhibitions, and a smaller showroom in Vida Bukit Ceylon. This shift allows us to offer greater flexibility whether bringing artworks directly to clients in the Klang Valley to view them in situ, or updating our platform with fresh works by both established and emerging artists.
With the opening of our new space in Jakarta, Art WeMe Contemporary continues to uphold its founding vision: to provide a professional platform where art lovers whether novices or seasoned collectors who can discover, engage with, and acquire works that resonate deeply with them. The name “Art WeMe” reflects this philosophy: “Me” symbolizes the personal connection to art, while “We” embodies the spirit of sharing it with a wider community.
