CB- Editionen is a gallery passionate about works on paper and artists who share this love. CB - Editionen was founded 2008 by Clemens Büntig. Intended as a printshop and artist residency in a beautiful country setting in Upper Bavaria in the south of Germany, it flourished and attracted challenging and highly interesting projects with artist alive and dead alike. Amongst the artists whose work was printed at CB-Editionen were artists like Lucas Rainer or Sean Scully. The Brücke Museum Berlin entrusted him to print of the original wood blocks of Karl Schmidt Rottluff. Being an artist himself, trained in Switzerland, Spain and New York, Büntig proofed the right eye and feel for colour and to offer techniques that would asset the artists' vision.
In 2014 Büntig reduced his printing services and focused on exploring his own artistic vision. So, after the tenth anniversary of CB-Edition it is time to hone even clearer what the endeavor in the art world should be. After half a century of printmaking it is a clear and proven passion for art on paper. The gallery program is mainly works on paper. relief print, intaglio, lithography and monotypes are to be seen next to beautiful drawings on precious papers.
