FAQs

  • That depends on your what kind of fair experience you’re after! If you’d prefer to enjoy the fair without the crowds, head to our weekday afternoons (Thursday and Friday), as this is the quietest time. Our Summer Lates are a great time to visit if you enjoy a bit of a buzz, and the chance to take in great art with friends, live DJs, welcome drinks and more! Weekends are popular with visitors, and so can be quite busy. If visiting on the weekend, make sure to give yourself enough time to see everything, as it can take a bit longer.

  • We encourage all our visitors to use sustainable methods of transportation.

    By tube

    The closest underground station is Hampstead (Northern Line), from which we will be operating a free shuttle bus service from with regular buses.

    • Wednesday, 4.30pm – 9.15pm
    • Thursday, 10.30am – 9.15pm
    • Friday, 10.30am – 9.15pm
    • Saturday, 9.30am – 6.15pm
    • Sunday, 9.30am – 6.15pm

    By bus

    Bus numbers 24 and 46 stop a short walk away from the fair site on the south side of the heath, (approximately a 10 minute walk). You can also reach the site by taking bus numbers C2, C11, H3, 214 or 268.

    By car

    If you’re planning on driving to the fair, please be aware that parking is limited in front of the venue, which is accessed via East Heath Road. There are an additional three Pay & Display car parks on the outskirts of Hampstead Heath: at Parliament Hill Lido on Gordon House Road, Jack Straw’s Castle, North End Way, West Lodge, and in the North West of the Heath.

  • Yes, our purpose-built venue is fully accessible for people with reduced mobility. There are ramps to access the tent. If you need to reserve a wheelchair please contact us at [email protected].

  • Yes, well-behaved dogs on leads are very welcome! However, please note weekends can be particularly busy and some dogs may find the environment stressful. Please be mindful of other visitors and of course, our lovely artworks!

  • Yes, we have a cloakroom service to store your belongings before exploring the fair.
    The price is £2 per item. Pushchairs are free. While we try our utmost to ensure their safekeeping, personal possessions are left at the owner’s risk.

  • You can book an audio guide online with your ticket for £3, or when arrive. At the fair, visit the info desk to collect your instruction card. Scan the QR code with your phone, the guide will load, and you’re away! There’s an alphanumeric code if you are unable to scan QR codes. Please bring your own headphones – although we will have some available to buy at the info desk.

    16 artists are featured, each clip is 2-3 minutes long, giving you approximately 30-45 minutes of content to enjoy (depending on your preferred pace). What’s more, the clips will rearrange depending on your location in the fair!
