Our safe fair policies
To make our fairs a safe event for everyone, we’re implementing the following safety measures onsite:
1. Timed ticketing
Capacity will be limited to support social distancing. All visitors, including children, partners, and VIPs will need to book a timeslot to enter the fair and all tickets must be booked online in advance.
2. Socially distanced queuing system and one-way flow
When arriving at the fair, there will be a clearly marked queuing system to enter, and guided one-way route around the stands at the fair. These guidelines are in place to help with safe and social distancing, while allowing visitors to enjoy the fair and all the stunning artwork at their own pace.
3. Cashless payment
To help with health and safety, we will only be accepting card and contactless payments throughout the fair.
4. No onsite food & beverages
We will not be operating our usual bars and café at this edition to prevent queuing and the removal of face coverings indoors to eat or drink. However, within Chelsea we’re lucky to have many delicious eateries – do check with the restaurants before visiting to ensure they are operating and follow any relevant reservation processes.
5. Frequent health checks
Exhibitors and staff will be asked to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test no older than 3 days from the start of the fair build. During the fair, we will continue to perform staff wellness checks including temperature checks and of course, any staff who are feeling unwell will be asked to stay at home.
5. Health and safety measures
To help keep visitors, exhibitors and staff safe, we’re following protocols laid out by the local government. From mandatory face masks and temperature checks as you arrive, to providing hand-sanitizer and PPE stations, increased cleaning of the restrooms and other high use areas; you can be confident that the fair is a safe environment.
6. Venue ventilation
The Metropolitan Pavilion’s HVAC system is equipped with MERV filters rated to prevent the spread of bacteria and droplet nuclei.
