Georgia Huestis is our expert Melbourne Fair Director, who joined us in 2019 with a wealth of experience in commercial galleries and museums, as well as having participated in art fairs as an exhibitor across the globe. We’re so excited by what she brings to the Melbourne edition. Over to Georgia!
Affordable Art Fair Melbourne returns to the grandeur of the Royal Exhibition Building this year from 31 August – 3 September. With over fifty galleries joining us for our third edition, what a delight it is to be back where it all started under the newly restored heritage dome. The fair promises to be a dynamic four-day event with show stopping installations, live painting and thousands of affordable artworks all priced under AU$10,000.
“Our 2023 edition will see the return of a host of fair favourites including Salt Contemporary from Queenscliff, JUMBLED from Orange, leading Australian online gallery Bluethumb, SOL Gallery in Collingwood and all female collective Tits & Co.“
The Artist in Action studio and buzz of the Creative Hub will both be back in full swing at our Melbourne edition. Picture tiny graphite drawings, generous swathes of oil paint and flicks of gouache all expertly in motion as represented artists create their next masterpieces onsite. Pull up a stool at our Creative Hub and find your own inner artist or discover and support an emerging artist in our Young Talent Victoria exhibition.
Our gallerists, artists and team all adore helping fair goers fall in love with quality original and affordable contemporary art. Whether you are an experienced collector or a first-time art buyer, we look forward to helping you find that perfect piece at Affordable Art Fair Melbourne.
