"When I was introduced to Nynke`s work through @postmoderncollection, I was immediately intrigued by the way she incorporates history, symbolism and monumental buildings such as churches into her work. One of her sculptures, for instance, is based on an old Egyptian amulet she discovered while browsing a history museum. I love how she gives ancient myths and tales a new place in this modern world via colourful rubber."

Looking back at this year’s Emerging Artists Exhibition ‘Total Image or Death in Person’ featuring works by three Brussels-based artists : Loïs Soleil, Elise Argyris and Pedro Tinoco. ✨️
Each artist, with their own distinct research, explores our visual landscape as material to work with. Sharing a common interest in our evolving relationship with images, their works encourage introspection and invite reflection. Digital pictures, icons, photos, advertisements, and bodies are among the elements altered in their works.
After an open call, the exhibition proposal of the curators Davide Musco and Maxence Doucet was selected for Affordable Art Fair Brussels 2025.
