AFFORDABLE ART FAIR AND COHART

Affordable Art Fair is thrilled to partner with Cohart, the digital platform that brings the art world online. This collaboration streamlines how galleries market and sell at our fairs, providing exhibitors with professional tools including tap-to-pay functionality via mobile app, QR artwork cards, automated certificates of authenticity, insured shipping, digital collector management, and promotion to Cohart’s global network of collectors.

Cohart’s comprehensive platform complements the Affordable Art Fair’s mission to make art accessible. While Affordable Art Fair creates welcoming physical spaces for art discovery, Cohart provides galleries with the complete digital toolkit they need to operate efficiently and build lasting relationships with collectors. Together, we’re expanding how galleries can connect with collectors—in person and online.

WONDERS UNDER $1,000

Dedicated to presenting affordable art that everyone can discover and collect, Affordable Art Fair is excited to showcase a collection of works priced under $1,000. A longstanding and much-loved feature, the Wonders Under $1,000 wall is the perfect place to start out your fair journey and an excellent tool for the emerging collector.

PANEL DISCUSSION: MODELS FOR THE FUTURE | BUILDING & SUSTAINING A PRACTICE

3pm Saturday, October 25, 2025

FREE TO ALL-ACCESS PASS AND SATURDAY GENERAL ADMISSION TICKET HOLDERS

Boston and Montreal-based art advisory, art_works, will bring together leaders from across the Boston area arts ecosystem to discuss how artists can build resilient, long-term careers. From public art and institutional commissions to philanthropy, fairs, and collector engagement, panelists will share insights from their work supporting artists at every stage and in every way.

Moderated by Natalie Lemle of art_works, this conversation features Alison Croney Moses (Artist), Joseph Henry (Director of Cultural Planning, City of Boston), Kate McNamara (John R. and Barbara Robinson Family Director, Carpenter Center at Harvard, and Founder, Odd-Kin), Christine O’Donnell (Founder + Executive Director, ShowUp), and Erin Schuppert (Fair Director, Affordable Art Fair).

SURVIVAL TACTICS: MAKING DO IN THE AFTERMATH

Curated by Mallory A. Ruymann and Jasper A. Sanchez

This exhibition features works by recently graduated BFA and MFA artists living and working in the Boston area and reflects on the inventive, “scrappy”, and often playful ways they navigate early career realities–making art with limited space, big ideas on small budgets, and ambition that might outpace access. In dialogue with the notion of affordability, the exhibition will celebrate creative resourcefulness as both necessity and a mode of expression.

Straight Lines, Qunicey Spagnoletti, 2024.

can I kiss you II, Virgilijs Tilks, 2024.

Plot #16, Brooke Toczylowski, 2025.

Secular devotional object (walking the dog), Gavin Fahey, 2024.

“SEE IT GO” BY SHOWUP

Boston’s Citgo sign has been a landmark of the city’s skyline since 1965. Peeking out behind Fenway Park’s notorious “Green Monster” in the outfield, this eye-catching logo has come to symbolize much more than a mere brand.

ShowUp will be presenting artworks that portray local artists’ interpretations of the landmark in a variety of compelling ways. Each contemplates the question “What does it mean when a beloved landmark is a giant neon sign for an oil company?”
