INSTALLATION BY TOMISLAV TOPIC
The artist Tomislav Topic has created a stylistically unique and unmistakable body of work throughout his career. As part of the artist duo Quintessenz and as a solo artist, he has realized numerous installations and murals in public spaces worldwide. Tomislav is known for his colourful, site-specific art installations, in which he adeptly reduces his work to focus on colour and form. In the artist’s work, the uplifting power of beauty merges with the logic of science creating a symbiosis, that challenges us to perceive the environment with expanded senses.
For the upcoming fair edition and in collaboration with 44309//GALLERY, Tomislav has been invited to present a striking installation made out of painted fiberglass mesh that will hang from the ceiling of De Kromhouthal.

At this upcoming fair edition Jules invites visitors to step into his world by discovering his new immersive installation Mindset. His hand-painted labyrinths will adorn the walls, inviting you to lose yourself in his art.

IMMERSE YOURSELF IN A WORLD OF DIGITAL ART WITH BASEL TOURISM
Basel, the cultural capital of Switzerland, has long been a hub for dynamic contemporary art and has recently initiated projects that demonstrate its status as a city for cutting-edge digital art.

DISCOVER COLOUR THEORY
Colour theory is a system that helps us understand how colours work. This understanding includes how we perceive colours, their emotive meanings, colour mixing, colour schemes, and colour harmony.
At various points across the fair, you can learn more about colour theory, its history, and its development through time, discovering how artists and thinkers have shaped our modern understanding of colour. You are invited to participate in colouring an interactive wall inspired on Josef Albers abstract paintings.
