Treat yourself to an artistic adventure with 1000s of contemporary artworks from over 65 Dutch and international galleries. I 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 🐰
Japanese artist @kanaria_artiste, represented by @quandlesfleursnoussauvent, imagines a poetic utopia teeming with erotic motifs, to which the soft colours lend a kind of suavity. With her unique technique, she applies fragments of oil paint in shades of ‘flesh’, in which she draws her holistic vision of the world in vivid, pop and colourful strokes.

@jaskigallery is currently presenting the solo-exhibition `Blurring the Boundaries – 20 Years of Magic‘, featuring the work by their long-time represented artist @chris.berens.
The Dutch artist has developed a complex and time-consuming painting technique. He explains `I’m most comfortable using fine brushes and drawing inks and graphites, but I also regularly use water color paints, markers and acrylics. For some time now I’ve added digital image making to my line of techniques, meaning 3D sculpting, digital painting and image processing. I combine and mix them with my more traditional media.`

@doostartgallery in Amsterdam is currently presenting `Oriental Warmth`, a solo-exhibition featuring the work of @jahromi_alireza.
`Oriental Warmth` is a narrative of presence, breaking barriers, and reclaiming lost spaces. Forms and colors emerge from the depths of Persian miniatures, yet the narratives are no longer the same. These paintings tell the story of women who defy imposed boundaries, reclaim their rightful place, and redefine the world anew.

On view at @galeriemokum in Amsterdam until 19 April: ‘Echoes of Andalusia’ by @antonio_barahona . Margot welcomed us into the gallery to share more about Barahona’s work and Galerie Mokum’s vision.
Founded in 1962, Galerie Mokum champions realism and represents over thirty artists. Initially featuring mainly Dutch artists, the gallery now represents realists from around the world.
In their current exhibition, you can discover Antonio Barahona’s luminous paintings. Antonio creates emotional landscapes where light and memory shape spaces of retreat - scenes suspended between the lived and the imagined. These are not specific locations, but rather images that evoke a shared Andalusia. Everyday elements that act as anchors of a collective imaginary and, at the same time, as portals to a slower rhythm, an intimacy sheltered from time.

The mixed techniques and the super thin handmade paper makes her artworks really special. I could day dream in front of them for hours.
Newhouse Gallery represents a bunch of amazing female artists. Each of them have their own unique style and the works really complement each other at the fair."

"When I was introduced to Nynke`s work through @postmoderncollection, I was immediately intrigued by the way she incorporates history, symbolism and monumental buildings such as churches into her work. One of her sculptures, for instance, is based on an old Egyptian amulet she discovered while browsing a history museum. I love how she gives ancient myths and tales a new place in this modern world via colourful rubber."
