About Emma Reynolds

About the artwork

Emma's work explores the juxtaposition of the city of London and the bird life that it provides for. The optimistic reflection of freedom of movement above an increasingly dense urban environment is of recurring interest alongside the simple enjoyment of studying the birds in their environment. She explores different techniques for screen printing to further her ability to reflect the Urban landscape. With her most recent prints she paints directly onto the screen and uses paper stencils to make each print individual and to lend her prints some of the visual language of paintings.
