This series of works are a reflection of artist Steven Gandhi’s conceived perceptions in the realm of understanding society. Most of these works are watercolour on paper, and the subjects are portraits and animals to replicate popular icons or religious symbols. Steven juxtaposed images of chaotic city and village events as a digital camouflage, to visually represent the difference between life in city and life in village.
Each individual experience of Steven Gandhi’s journeys is documented through works as artist’s personal dairy. This series of paintings represent own self-consciousness as well as his experience with different types of people met through his journeys.
