Pierre-Francois GRIMALDI is an urban archeologist, a collector of lost memories. The vintage advertising posters he uses in his collages are often found during refurbishing works of Paris metro stations. These amalgamated layers of faded papers tell a poetic story of a bygone age and offer a fascinating experience of mid 20th century visual design. Grimaldi (b. 1969) lives and works in Paris.
