Phuong Quoc Tri was born in Vietnam into an artist family. He is famous for painting portraits in a very individual style. Tri's works always extrude stillness and warmth. The characters appear to be introvert, deep in thought and very charming. They invite the viewer to think, feel and connect with them.
In 2009, Phuong Quoc Tri won prize for his painting titled “Portrait” at the Biennial Exhibition by Ho Chi Minh City Fine Art University. In 2010, he won second prize for his work titled “Innocence” at the South Region Exhibition, held by Ho Chi Minh City Fine Art Museum.
Over the years Tri had staged several solo and group exhibitions in Vietnam and overseas. His works can be seen at many private collections in the USA, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, France, Germany, Italy and UK.
