Kate Richardson, originally from Guildford, came to Cornwall and quickly fell in love with the country. The long history of art and abundance of galleries in the area sparked a dormant creative desire. She then embarked on building a body of work, in her own unique style.
Influenced by her surroundings, Kate’s paintings capture the atmosphere and drama of the Cornish landscape and coastline with wind-slanted hedgerow trees, stormy seascapes and towering clifftops. People often comment that they see the emotion in her work, which she takes as a great compliment.
The self-taught artist currently lives and works full-time in Penwith, Cornwall. Kate Richardson has had mixed and solo exhibitions showcasing her art both nationally and at the London Art Fairs. Her work is also on display at galleries across the UK.
