Kate Jupe is an emerging mixed media artist who graduated from the Bath School of Art and Design with a BA Honours in Fine Art in June 2018.
The artist states that there are three elements to her creative production: drawing, painting and photography. Kate’s drawings are inspired by her own photographic production and aim to capture perspective in the liveliness of nature and landscape through an abstract form.
Kate is a specialist in oil paint but always open to mixing techniques and tools such as pastels, spray paint, acrylic, pen and pencil. About her own creative process, she says; “I look to explore, experiment and push the boundaries of the materials I work with”. Her works range from small to large scale and from materials such as linen and cotton duck canvas to recycled paper.
Currently based in Oxfordshire, Kate has exhibited her art in various places across the country. She was also selected for the ‘Best of The South West 2018’ exhibition at Pound Arts.
