K. Lynn Chang (b.1996) is a Korean artist graduating in 2019 with a BA Fine Art at Goldsmiths, University of London. K Lynn Chang lives and works in Korea. K. Lynn Chang’s multi discipline practice includes painting, sculpture and installation which are strongly inspired by her personal observations of the delights of cake and confectionary. In turn, she responds to the precision of cake making and cake display. The visual temptation from highly decorated dessert images on Social Media offers the source material for K Lynn Chang’s unique recreations using unedible materials. The abstracted, sculptural renditions and through a visual experience of colour and form, mimic the sensation of taste. To gain the seductive outcome on each piece, I always go through a long process that is pretty much similar to what patissier do for their amazing delicacies. Recent exhibitions include: 'EXH 02' (2020), Floor Magazine, London, UK; 'FOR YOU' (2019), Ian Art Space, Seoul, KR; YNGSPC X DYNAMISK Online Exhibition (2019), YNGSPC [Young Space], Wisconsin, US; 'Summer Degree Show' (2019), Goldsmiths, University of London - Ben Pimlott Building, London, UK; 'NOBUDAM: Playground' (2019), The Biscuit Factory - Art Number 23, London, UK; 'Your Petite World' (2019), The Copper Tea, London, UK; 'How Much Is A Chunk?'
