Already a successful Artist and Textile Designer, with a BA(Hons) Printed Textiles, Justine has continued to enhance her reputation as a professional artist. Her work has been exhibited at many galleries all over the UK and she has undertaken many notable commissions including established interior designers and even royalty.
After graduation she was approached by one of the UK’s top textile design studios in London, producing designs for both fashion and furnishing fabrics, which continue to be sold worldwide in New York, Como, Tokyo, Milan and Paris to companies including H&M, Monsoon and Laura Ashley.
Justine spent her early years in St Agnes, Cornwall a place that continues to inspire her today. She lists Howard Hodgkin, Ivon Hitchens, Ben Nicholson, Peter Lanyon and Alfred Wallis as some of the artists that have influenced her style. Colour and texture is always paramount in her approach. Her free use of oils, acrylics and other mixed media gives her work a textured layered appearance in order to create depth and a sense of space.
Her paintings have been shortlisted and selected for The Cork Street Open Exhibition (Winter 2013), The Discerning Eye (Nov 2013), The Royal Institute of Oil Painters Open Exhibition (2014), The Society of Women Artists (2014) and recently for The Royal Society of Marine Artists Exhibition at the Mall Galleries.
In June 2013 Justine was also awarded The Green & Stone Award by the Chelsea Art Society.
