Joanne Hummel Newell’s work is driven by the instantaneous and forever changing concerns of consciousness. She strives to make works which are of interest to society by referring to human habits and social behaviour within the realms of collage, painting, and installation, often of a public nature and not limited to the confines of a gallery.
Joanne Hummel Newell (b 1982) studied at Kingston University London from 2001 - 2004 and at The Royal College of Art, London, from 2004 -2006.
