In art, questions should resonate that make our existence comprehensible. There has to be space, resolution and a new beginning. The observation that everything changes constantly.
Jana Schumacher is a german artist, with a focus on drawing, print making and site specific installations, who has exhibited her work throughout Germany and the US. She communicates central themes such as order and chaos, the influence of change, cause and effect and connections between art and science. Her approach balances concrete composition with creative improvisation. Schumacher ultimately believes in the status of abstract drawing as an intuitively readable system, capable of describing existentially important things in our world.Show more Show Less
