In 2014 Isobel Church graduated from the Royal College of Art with a distinction, gaining her MA in ceramics. With a background in Anthropology and Chinese art, Isobel Church's work draws on science, myth and symbolism. Intricate patterns, a form of rhythmic mark-making in ink or porcelain, originating from microscopy and astronomy. Recent work includes a netted room of tubular porcelain beads which functions as an observatory, as well as a sculpture incorporating three dimensional maps of the lunar surface.
