Zoe Liu was born in Hong Kong and moved to Hawai, where she now lives, to study Fine Art at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. During her time studying Zoe won the Outstanding Undergraduate Awards in Drawing and Digital Imaging. Since her studies, Zoe has developed her practise while working as a teaching artist at Honolulu Museum of Art School.
Along with her teaching, Zoe has exhibited her work at a number of galleries and exhibitions including the ARTery Pop-Up by Art Outreach, BLINK Gallery, Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Singapore in 2019 and Art Next Expo, PMQ, Central, Hong Kong.
Zoe uses her art as a way to communicate through a visual means primarily using ink, watercolour, and pastels. Her practice is aimed at approaching and investigating important social questions such as social contradictions, and educational issues. In particular issues about silencing and forced-feeding education style.
